Pole Vault

Learn what it will take for you to take your vault to the next level! Whether you’re fine tuning your skills or learning how to pole vault for the very first time, our world-class coaches will give you the tools you need to raise the bar.

Each camper will be placed in a group with vaulters at a similar level so coaching/training for each group is very focused. Our coach-to-athlete ratio is fantastic and will ensure that every single vaulter will receive a ton of one-on-one time from the best coaching staff in the country!

Summer Camp

Kiss the Sky Pole Vault Camp is not just a pole vault camp! When you join us, you can expect a true summer camp experience. You can expect huge amounts of fun, group activities, meaningful moments, hiking, and plenty of pole vault!

Camp Location

Camp will be held at Emmanuel Pines Camp located at 3000 Spence Springs Rd, Prescott, AZ 86305.

Camper types

Campers have two options to join us for summer camp:

  • Resident Campers stay on site full time at Emmanuel Pines.
  • Day Campers sleep off site and join us for all daytime activities starting with morning activity sessions and ending with post-dinner activities/discussions. Day Campers must provide their own transportation in the mornings/evenings and must have appropriate adult supervision.

Registration Deadlines/Costs

You can choose to pay the full amount during your initial registration or you may choose to pay the deposit of $375 and then the balance before camp or during check-in. Please see our refund policy in the FAQ section.

Up through May 16:

  • Resident Campers: $875
  • Day Campers: $775
  • Airport fee: $100

After May 16:

  • Resident Campers: $925
  • Day Campers: $825
  • Airport fee: $100

FAQ

Where do I check-in?
Check-in will be held at Emmanuel Pines Camp (3000 Spence Springs Rd, Prescott, AZ 86305) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday June 16th. Any remaining balances will be due at check-in.  You may do so by logging back into your account and paying online or you may pay your balance at check-in via cash, check or charge.
Please print and sign the liability waiver that is attached linked under “registration and camp information” on this page and bring with you to check-in.

What do I need to bring?
Campers will need to bring the following items: workout clothes, running shoes, spikes, hat, sunscreen, sleeping bag and/or sheets and blankets, pillow, toiletries, and a water bottle. We caution campers from bringing valuables to camp. Kiss the Sky Camps will provide poles for campers to use. Please see the attached packing list for specifics.

What are the accommodations?
Campers will be staying in dorms and cabins at Emmanuel Pines. Boys and girls will be housed in separate areas. Campers will have 24-hour supervision by counselors and staff. There will be mandatory lights out and bed checks at 10:30 pm each evening. Campers will eat three meals a day at the Emmanuel Pines Camp Cafeteria. All activity sessions will be held on site at Emmanuel Pines Camp. Campers will be responsible, and billed for any and all damage to Emmanuel Pines Camp facilities.

Where and when do campers check-out?
Dormitories and cabins will be checked for cleanliness and damage before the competitions Thursday morning. Campers will check out of rooms after competitions. Each camper will compete in an informal competition Thursday June 20th in the morning, starting at 8:30 am with the beginners. Girls will start at 10:00am and boys will follow at approximately 11:30am.  Parents and family are welcome and encouraged to come watch these competitions. All competitions will conclude by 1:00 pm, and campers will be free to go at that time.

Where and when do campers check-out?

Each camper will compete in an informal competition Thursday June 20th in the morning, starting at 8:30 am with the beginners. Girls will start at 10:00am and boys will follow at approximately 11:30am.  Parents and family are welcome and encouraged to come watch these competitions. All competitions will conclude by 1:00 pm, and campers will be free to go at that time.

Airport Pick-up:
If you plan on flying into Arizona for camp, you must fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. If you are flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and need to be picked up and transported to camp, we will need your itinerary and flight information by Monday, June 3rd at the latest so we are able to make the necessary arrangements. Please select “Need Airport Pickup” during registration and e-mail your itineraries and info to [email protected] as soon as possible. If you have yet to make flight arrangements, it is best to have arrival into Phoenix between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m on June 16th, and between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on June 20th. We will have staff members picking up and dropping off at the airport on arrival and departure days. The fee is $100 and will cover picking up one camper from Sky Harbor, transporting them to camp, and then transporting them back to Sky Harbor after camp concludes. Do you provide refunds if we’re not able to make it to camp?
Deposits are always non-refundable, however, those deposits may be applied to future years of camp. Remaining balances may be refunded according to the following schedule:

  • Up to 30 days before camp: balance refund minus $375.
  • Between 7-30 days before camp: balance refund minus $475.
  • Within 7 days before camp: camper registration is non-refundable.
